 The MitiGator INDseismic switch offers a powerhouse of strong features for shutdown of industrial devices at the onset of a strong earthquake. Not only can the unit detect the earthquake waves, but it will also detect in all three axes: vertical, longitudinal and transverse. The MitiGator IND is maintenance free and capable of performing its own tests, and its sensing elements are highly reliable. An RS-232 serial port allows you to communicate with this powerful little “beast.”
The –IND version of the MitiGator provides a convenient enclosure and minimum of 3 hours backup battery power for the basic modular units. The enclosure is intended for use in control rooms and other indoor environments. The IND enclosures should never be used outdoors, in corrosive environments, or in other hostile environments. For these applications, contact Kinemetrics for a custom enclosure.
